The Large Herbivore Foundation was officially launched as a new foundation
This event was combined with the release of 5 Bison in Poloniny National Park in Slovakia, in close cooperation with the State Nature Conservancy of The Slovak Republic and Artis Zoo in the Netherlands. The kind support of the DOEN foundation in The Netherlands, the World Wide Fund for Nature and the Royal Dutch Embassy in Prague made the reintroduction financially possible.
