About

As Director of Conservation at White Oak Conservation Center in Florida, USA, we concentrate on linking managed species programs with conservation efforts which include research, training, and field work. We also operate and support field conservation projects including the Okapi Conservation Project in the Democratic Rep. of Congo.

My specialty has developed over the years to include captive management of wild herbivores including wild equids, tapirs, rhinos, wild caprids, wild cattle, cervids, antelope and giraffes.

Conservation of endangered wild herbivores and their habitats is of great interest and I’m currently involved as a member of the SSC Asian Wild Cattle, Asian Rhino, and Antelope Specialist Groups.
