Based on his experience narcotize and treatment of wild animals his expertise is often sought by various conservation organizations, including Natuurmonumenten, Staatsbosbeheer, Free Nature, Alterra and the Foundation for the Preservation of the Przewalski's Horse. 

Experience  Since 1985:

  • Burgers Zoo in Arnhem:
    Veterinary surgeon
  • Natuurmonumenten:
    Responsible for the veterinary supervision of the free ranging Scottish Highland Cattle and IJsland ponies at the Veluwezoom National park
  • Staatsbosbeheer:
    Veterinarian for the cattle, horses and deer in the Oostvaardersplassen and - as well - of the Heck cattle herds on the Hellegatsplaten and the Slikken van Flakkee in the Southern delta of the Netherlands.
  • Free Nature / Ark foundation:
    Advice on grazing herds of Konikpaarden and Galloway cattle along the rivers Waal, Rhine and IJssel.
  • Foundation for the Preservation of the Przewalski's Horse:
    Veterinarian leader during the introduction of Przewalski's Horse to Mongolia. Instructed the local managers about the necessary veterinary knowledge to bring the introduction to a lasting success. Authorized by the committee on the Law on Animal Experiments regarding research in nature by radio collars (otters, beavers etc .)
