About

Dr. Ed G.M. van Klink DVM PhD was graduated in 1983.

Ed has extensive experience in veterinary policy. Since his graduation he has worked within government structures, both in The Netherlands and in Africa. He has worked as a consultant on veterinary policy and veterinary epidemiology and had his own consultancy firm.

He was among the first members of the Veterinary Advisory Committee set up for the support of large herbivore grazing projects in The Netherlands, and has been part of that committee through its entire existence (about 15 years). This committee functioned as a broad platform and advised e.g. the minister of agriculture and nature. As an example it prepared the base of several parliamentary decisions and guidelines for veterinary and ethical issues.

Ed is the author of several articles on policies around large herbivore projects, both in Dutch and international magazines for nature conservation professionals and in conferences on large herbivore management.
