‘Coming from a country with rich biodiversity but less studied, I soon became engaged in wildlife projects after my graduation from the university. I have been involved in number of conservation projects in Iran ranging from saving the last surviving Asiatic cheetahs and Persian leopards to the monitoring of mouflon populations. In all the mentioned activities, it appeared to me that the long-term research and conservation of wildlife can be facilitated by international collaborations and gaining knowledge and support from the experts is important for success. Hence, I am looking forward to support initiatives like LHNet to exchange my findings and raise awareness to gain support on least known species of Iran’.
