The interactive LHNet website is in development to become a permanent growing knowledge platform about Eurasian large herbivores and their landscapes.
Its goal is to:
- Provide a platform for experts to discuss large herbivores
- Provide information for people interested in large herbivores and nature conservation
- Increase the number of visitors to the website
- Engage with potential financiers / donations
- Show the results of work done by the Large Herbivore Network
Every month a 'Web Traffic Analysis Plus Report' is delivered by Exadium, a web development and search engine optimisation company who has been partly sponsoring LHNet in kind since 2009. The Web Traffic Report presents an analysis on the amount of visitors and their behaviour on the website. Since the website developments started in June 2009 the number of visits increased from 188 to 3718 in January 2011. The graph shows a growing line, with a small seasonal dip during summer time.
The website has been recently reviewed by Veerkracht Allround Communications, who also partly sponsors LHNet in kind. They prepared a new FL(O)W-chart through which the website will become better accessible and more user-friendly in future. It will be put into practice by Exadium and will be released around March 2011.
