Headquarters of LHNet: ECNC

The Large Herbivore Network is a network organization within ECNC-European Centre for Nature Conservation. ECNC is an independent European foundation dedicated to a beautiful Europe based on a rich biodiversity, healthy ecosystems and sustainable development. It promotes an integrated approach for both land and sea and actively stimulates the interaction between science, society and policy. Rob Wolters is Executive Director of ECNC, and Hans Kampf is Director of LHNet.

ECNC provides an excellent organizational basis for integrating the 'conservation legacy' of LHNet into the wider international and European biodiversity policy and expertise arena. Important connections include the implementation and management of Natura 2000, the development of the Pan-European Ecological Network and green infrastructure, the relationship between multifunctional landscapes and wilderness, climate change and ecological resilience, stakeholder involvement, etc.
