Important landscapes for large herbivores

The most important regions and or hotspots for large herbivores in Eurasia were identified in 2000, a project funded by the former LHI - Large Herbivore Initiative. The result was a report that based its conclusions on specific criteria and several references.

In the upfollowing years additional areas were identified and added to the website.
