Anna's efforts for the conservation of saiga and Mongolian gazelle attracted the attention of the Prince.Especially the very critical situation of the last remaining European population of saiga in the Republic of Kalmykia has stabilized and is slowly improving now because of her efforts. Her work was rewarded by Prince Bernhard at Palace Soestdijk, where she was received together with four other nominees.
